REALTOR® Community Investment Initiative
REALTOR® Community Investment Initiative is
a signature project of the Metropolitan Indianapolis
Board of REALTORS® (MIBOR) formed to provide
central Indiana organizations with needed funding
to improve their quality of life initiatives around
the region.
This initiative is a continuation of the effort REALTORS®
have made over the years to support and sustain
community and economic development organizations
that work for the betterment of the region and
its citizens.
$100,000 was invested in 10 organizations in December 2007.
- Hamilton County Alliance
- $4,000 for its Hamilton County Life Science Company Inventory
- Shelby County Development Corporation
- $5,000 for its campaign, “Shelby County – the Next Best Place to Invest”
- Indy-east Asset Development
- $15,000 for its Near Eastside Welcome Center
- Greater Lebanon Community Vision Committee
- $5,000 for its Community Vision Project facilitation
- Indianapolis Cultural Trail: A Legacy of Gene & Marilyn Glick
- $10,000 for its Indianapolis Cultural Trail: Monon Trail Connection
- Great Indy Neighborhoods
- $24,200 in support of community and neighborhood building in Indianapolis
- Irvington Development Organization
- $10,000 to improve the Irvington Streetscape
- Brown County Area Plan Commission
- $10,000 for its Planning for Brown County’s Future project
- The IPS Renewal Team
- $5,800 for its Indianapolis Community Development project, which presents accurate information about IPS programs from a parent perspective
- Montgomery County Economic Development
- $11,000 for an economic development feasibility study for the newly formed regional sewer district
