Fusion™ Training Classes Continue
Although class times have been reduced to focus on the Matrix™ transition, complimentary Fusion™ training continues. This is especially important for members working in a Macintosh platform. Please note that some classes require Basic as a pre-requisite. As a convenience, there are a few instances of Basic being offered in the morning and CMA or Prospecting class offered in the afternoon of the same day. More
The Time is Now, Make Sure You Are in Compliance?
The month of June is upon us, have you complied with the industry’s continuing education requirements? Due to a revision to license law, the deadline for brokers (who received their broker’s licenses prior to July 1, 2012) to complete their normal 16 hours of continuing education and renew their licenses has been extended to June 30, 2014. In addition, between the time period July 1, 2013 and June 30, 2014, brokers MUST complete 8 hours of continuing education which must include a 2 hour Indiana license law course. This is a total of 24 hours which needs to be completed by June 30, 2014. Salespersons who obtained their broker’s license by way of the 24-hour transition course between July 1, 2012 and June 30 2014, do not need to complete any further education during this time period. If you have any questions about the requirements, click here.
1,400 Salespersons in Limbo, Are These Your Agents?
Based on the latest comparison of IPLA data to MIBOR records, more than 1,400 salespersons have yet to complete the broker transition. The deadline for taking the required 24-hour course and completing all paperwork with IPLA for a new license number is June 30th. If salespersons have not taken these steps by the deadline, they will lose their license to sell real estate in the state of Indiana. It is possible that agents have completed the transition, but have not notified MIBOR of their new license number. Since we do not receive real time data from IPLA, it is important that the final step of the process be to notify MIBOR’s Membership staff. Simply remind agents to email name and new number to firstname.lastname@example.org. If you have any questions about the transition steps, click here.
