Matrix™ Update: Cutover Date Selected

Industry Insider is a publication distributed by MIBOR every other Friday to Managing Brokers.

Matrix™ Update: Cutover Date Selected
The transition to Matrix™ is moving along. Thousands of members have been trained, system issues are being addressed every day and a firm timetable for cutover has been established. It’s time to update you on the transition status.
  3,500 Trained
Thank you to all Managing Brokers who have encouraged agents to become trained. At last count, 3,500 members have participated in either large scale presentation-style training or a hands-on training class. This does not account for members who have attended a Division meeting specifically focused on Matrix™ training. To date, the Brown, Eastern, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks and Montgomery County Divisions have hosted a Matrix™ class. The Downtown Division as well as Morgan County, Shelby County, Southside Divisions have classes scheduled. An additional class is scheduled in Putnam County.

Webinars and On-Demand videos have also been popular. The webinars are hosted live and then recorded so agents can go back to review the entire training. On-Demand videos are two-three minutes in length and review very specific functionality. There are currently 16 On-Demand videos on the menu with more being added. These are perfect refreshers on something you learned in class or a great way for us to communicate how to navigate a tricky function or fix to the system.

  Cutover Date
To allow for additional training, the cutover date is March 4th. The add/edit function will be live and operational in Matrix™, and no longer available in Tempo and Fusion™, on that date.

Syndicating Listings to Zillow and Others
As many are aware, ListHub will discontinue syndicating listings to Zillow after April 7th. ListHub will continue to be the way to syndicate to portals other than Zillow. MIBOR is working on an agreement to allow Managing Brokers to opt-in to sending listings to Zillow directly through the BLC® listing service. Contract negotiations are currently in progress, watch for updates in the next few weeks. Please be aware, no changes in syndication practices will be needed until April.

  OTHER NEWS
Citation Program Takes Effect March 1
In an effort to remove barriers to reporting possible violations of the Code of Ethics, MIBOR has adopted a citation program which will take effect on March 1, 2015. This vehicle provides a quicker alternative to the formal ethics complaint process. Key points of the program include:
  • In situations where there is clear, strong & convincing evidence that a violation of certain Articles of the Code of Ethics has occurred, the Grievance Committee may issue a citation with a fee attached.
  • The Respondent has 10 days from receipt of the citation to pay the fee.
  • The Respondent has 20 days from receipt of the citation to request an ethics hearing to dispute the citation.
  • No more than a total of three citations may be issued to a member in any three year period. Citation fees are:
         - $150 for the first citation
         - $250 for the second citation
         - $500 for the third citation
  • No more than $900 in any three year period
  •  If clear, strong, and convincing evidence is attached, the citation may be filed anonymously. If the Respondent requests a hearing to challenge the citation, the Grievance Committee will appoint member(s) to act as Complainant.
