Curb appeal doesn’t just have to be for people getting ready to sell their home, it can effect your mood when you come home. Think about it, after a long day at work, are you going to feel better pulling into your driveway and seeing patchy grass with weeds everywhere, with the window shutters looking like they’re 100 years old? Or are you going to feel better seeing bright colors from your lawn and having a beautiful exterior to the home. My money is on the ladder, it doesn’t have to be hard either! There are several low maintenance things you can do to improve the curb appeal of your home.
Add some greenery
Whether it’s planting grass, making a flower bed, or adding window boxes, adding plant life to the home can do a lot to draw the eye towards key features of the home and add a lot of color.
Paint your front door
Your front door is allowed to stand out! Painting your front door is a cheap job that can really make the house pop, just make sure you’re using a color that compliments the house’s exterior, and doesn’t clash or distract with your current style.
Hide unnecessary fixtures and tools
Plenty of peoples gas lines come in through the front of the house, or maybe you have a hose rack that is an eyesore when you pull into your driveway. Building a small fenced in space that things like this can live in can help clean things up, it even gives you a beautiful new place tt hang your house numbers!
