MIBOR Rebrands, Expands into Madison County

INDIANAPOLIS —  Today the Metropolitan Indianapolis Board of REALTORS® (MIBOR) announced a name change and expansion of its service area into Madison County.

The name change to MIBOR REALTOR® Association retains the familiar MIBOR acronym to which consumers and REALTORS® are highly accustomed. This change allows the more than 100 year-old organization to retain the value of the term MIBOR while positioning the REALTOR® – the true essence of the organization – more prominently within the brand.

“This is not a radical rebrand or restatement of what the organization is or who the members are, it is a clearer statement of who we are,” stated Kathy Hall, 2015 MIBOR REALTOR® Association President. “Consumers know the value of a REALTOR®, therefore we wanted REALTOR® to be the true focus in our name.”

Along with the name change, MIBOR also announced that the nearly 200 REALTORS® conducting business in Madison County are now members of the MIBOR REALTOR® Association. With this addition, the association serves a total of 12 counties throughout central Indiana.

Hall continued, “We are thrilled Madison County REALTORS® are formally a part of MIBOR. Our associations have had a long history of collaboration so it only makes sense to be part of one, stronger, more defined organization.”

This information has been provided by MIBOR, the professional association representing central Indiana's REALTORS®. MIBOR serves the needs of more than 7,000 members in Boone, Brown, Decatur, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Johnson, Madison, Marion, Montgomery, Morgan and Shelby counties. MIBOR also supplies the BLC® listing service to REALTORS® in Putnam County. More information can be found at
