INDIANAPOLIS — On Saturday, January 16th, the MIBOR REALTOR® Association (MIBOR) recognized industry and community service standouts at its annual event – The Ball: A Benefit For the REALTOR® Foundation. Members and guests celebrated a new year of opportunities and honored local real estate professionals who made a positive impact on central Indiana in 2015.

The Ball serves as a signature fundraiser for the REALTOR® Foundation, MIBOR’s philanthropic arm that raises funds to support the operations of homeless service providers. In total the event raised more than $50,000 for the homeless of central Indiana.

This year’s industry awards were presented at the Indiana Roof Ballroom in front of more than 480 guests.

The 2015 REALTOR® of the Year was awarded to John Creamer of CENTURY 21 Scheetz, Inc. The REALTOR® of the Year award is given to one member who exemplifies professionalism and success in the area of real estate as well as a commitment to MIBOR activities and services.

Dorothy Dodd of Salin Bank was named the 2015 Affiliate of the Year. The Affiliate of the Year Award is given to an affiliate member who displays outstanding professionalism and service to the MIBOR Board of Directors.

Janet Jernigan of Platinum Realty Group, Tom Johnson of F.C. Tucker Company and Steve Sullivan, CEO of the MIBOR REALTOR® Association all took home Distinguished Service Awards. The Distinguished Service Award celebrates a lifetime of outstanding service and commitment to the real estate industry.

Finally, Elizabeth Priller of Carpenter, REALTORS® was honored with the F.C. “Bud” Tucker Community Service Award. This special award is not granted every year — when it is, it is bestowed upon a MIBOR member who has made a direct impact on the community outside of real estate, helping to build a positive image for the real estate industry.

“Each year, the real estate community celebrates REALTORS® who work tirelessly to better the communities in which they live and work,” said Roger Lundy, 2016 MIBOR president. “This year’s winners are top notch. They truly exemplify what a REALTOR® should be and serve as the standard of how we can all work together to affect positive change in our communities.”
