MIBOR SUPPORTS IPS BOARD'S DECISION TO PULL BACK FROM MAY REFERENDUM

INDIANAPOLIS – MIBOR REALTOR® Association (MIBOR) issued the following statement today in response to the Indianapolis Public School (IPS) Board’s vote to postpone the May 2018 Referendum:

MIBOR applauds the decision by the IPS School Board to step back from pursuing a May 2018 referendum and instead turn their attention on further analysis of their funding needs and potential solutions.

MIBOR is ready to be a constructive partner with IPS and the Indy Chamber toward finding a workable solution that does not create an undue burden on property owners.

MIBOR is a strong supporter of quality education. Great schools are a major factor for purchasing a home; they support quality of life in our communities and they strengthen our neighborhoods.

We recognize the strong effort put forth by Dr. Ferebee and the IPS School Board and we look forward to participating in an effort to find a better solution for the school system and the community.
