Oktoberfest 2009

The third annual Oktoberfest once again proved that the combination of an exciting property, great food and drink, and good company make for a great party. Thanks to all who came out for the event held at Anson.

Special thanks to our sponsors of the event, Hansen & Horn, Duke Realty (Anson), and Monarch Beverage.

Sunshine and a Side of Rain

Not even a late afternoon pop-up storm could dampen the spirts of everyone at this year's Foundation golf outing. Approximately 150 dedicated individuals played in this year's event - a smaller field by some counts - but the fun and excitement was larger than ever! Over 40 sponsors participated in the day and made it one no one will ever forget! There was everything from Colts raffles to limbo contests and men in tuxedos getting dunked in the dunk tank! All that fun and support helped raise over $22,000 for the Foundation. Click here to view photos from the day. A special thanks to the day's sponsors and volunteers.

Congratulations to the outing's big winners:

Tier One - Sycamore course
Jeremy Tucker, Brandon Ring, Blake Ring, John Lett

Tier Two - Pines course
Ryan Groethe, Mike Jackson, Pete Lamonica, Brandy Schroeder

5 Days. 6,900 Dollars. One Cause.

Thank you to everyone who participated in REALTOR® Foundation Awareness Week last week! Hundreds of members participated in this year’s activities, making it the most well attended Awareness Week in history!

More than 250 people gathered at 3 Mass for the signature event, Taste of Indy, where a fabulous 3100 square foot condo overlooking Mass Ave. was on display. While enjoying tasty treats from Agio, Shula’s, JS Reutz, Scotty’s Brewhouse and Adam Siurek and drinks courtesy of Monarch Beverage and BuDa Lounge, guests were reminded of what the festivities were all about as they listened to a Foundation grant recipient who resides at the John Craine House.

The event raised $3,200, which was matched dollar for dollar by Halakar Real Estate and 3 Mass, bringing the total to $6,400.

Another Awareness Week hit, the ice cream truck made its way to over 20 offices throughout the week, delivering lots of treats and even more smiles. Approximately $500 was raised through donations as the ice cream truck made its way around town generating awareness for the Foundation. A special thanks to our corporate partner Chicago Title.

Last but not least, thanks to all the volunteers who shared their time and energy on Make a Difference Day by sprucing up our grant recipients’ facilities.

The Ball - January 24, 2009

Raising over $22,000 for the Foundation, the 2009 Ball was a night full of celebration and honor. Thank you to all the sponsors and attendees for helping make the night such a great success! Click here to see a list of 2009 sponsors.

All of the proceeds from this year’s event will be used to help area organizations provide safe, decent living conditions for those affected by homelessness.

Escape the Holiday Madness

On December 4, the REALTOR® Foundation and Hansen & Horn took some time to escape the holiday madness. Attendees were invited to play cards and bid on a variety of silent auction items. Several individuals brought their favorite pot of chili to share. Congratulations to the Keller Williams North office for having the most attendees. Their office won a Keurig "Ultimate Gourmet" office brewing system. Special thanks to Hansen & Horn for hosting the event.

Holiday Wine Tasting

Thanks to the Hamilton County Division for hosting a great wine tasting in honor of the Foundation! On Thursday, November 13, a packed room sampled a variety of wines while munching on delicious food catered by MBP Distinctive Catering and listening to the Carmel High School orchestra. A silent auction raised even more money for homelessness. While we don’t know the total amount raised yet, we do know that everyone had a great time and it kicked the holidays off in style!
