MIBOR REALTOR® Association (MIBOR) is proud to announce two local recipients of top industry awards for 2017 by the Indiana Association of REALTORS® (IAR).
Kathy Hall of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices in Greenfield has been named 2017 Indiana REALTOR® of the Year.
This annual award is IAR’s highest honor and recognizes one member for their civic, business, and real estate industry-related achievements and activities. Hall’s peers selected her as this year’s winner out of 27 nominees from Indiana’s local REALTOR® associations and boards.
Hall has served in several local leadership positions beginning with President of The REALTOR® Foundation, MIBOR’s philanthropic arm, and chair of the Broker Listing Cooperative (BLC®) Policy Committee, The Foundation’s Brighten Up Indy, and other task forces. Hall is a past president of the MIBOR Board of Directors (2016), The REALTOR® Foundation Board of Directors (2009), won Women’s Council of Realtors® Member of the Year in 2016, won MIBOR REALTOR® of the Year in 2016, and represented Central Indiana as MIBOR Director for the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR).
Kaye Hirt-Eggleston of Carpenter, Realtors® was honored with the esteemed Distinguished Service Award. Since IAR’s founding over 100 years ago, Kaye is only the 15th Indiana REALTOR® to receive this prestigious award.
The Distinguished Service Award was established to provide recognition to those REALTORS® who have provided many years of leadership and distinguished service to the REALTOR® organization as well as in their local community.
Hirt-Eggleston has been a MIBOR member for 37 years, serving as MIBOR Board of Directors president in 1993 and The REALTOR® Foundation board president in 2009. She received the MIBOR REALTOR® of the Year award in 1994 and the MIBOR Distinguished Service Award in 2010.
“There is no question that REALTORS® work hard to better the communities in which they live and work,” said Shelley Specchio, CEO of MIBOR REALTOR® Association. “We are extremely proud of Kathy and Kaye for being honored with these prestigious awards. They have both made their mark on this industry and exemplify true servant leadership.”
