"AVAILABLE FOR SHOWING" RULE REINSTATED JULY 1

On March 17th the MIBOR BLC Board of Directors temporarily suspended the rule which requires Active Listings be available for showings. This decision was based on valid concerns regarding clients’ anxiety about having to choose between having their homes physically shown during the pandemic or removing the listing from the market and suspending all internet marketing avenues. With more now known about COVID-19 and the real estate market beginning to find its way forward, the MIBOR BLC Board of Directors has REINSTATED the showing rule effective July 1, which will once again require an ACTIVE Listing to be available for showing within 7 days of the listing date.

Remember, once the rule is reinstated on July 1, if the “Available for Showing?” field is set to “NO”, the listing will not be syndicated to property search websites or IDX websites. If your seller needs more than 7 day to prepare the property, use the Temporary Off Market status during which no showings are allowed by anyone, including the Listing Agent.
