REALTORS® RELEASE SEPTEMBER CENTRAL INDIANA HOUSING DATA

INDIANAPOLIS — New housing data issued by the MIBOR REALTOR® Association (MIBOR) for September 2020 shows an increase in new listings.

The median sales price rose 18.5 percent in September compared to September 2019, and decreased 1.3 percent compared to August 2020.

Pending sales increased 28.5 percent in year over year comparison. New listings increased 13.0 percent in year over year comparison, and 7.2 percent compared to August 2020. Closed sales increased 17.1 percent compared to last year and decreased 2.4 percent compared to last month.

“While we continue to see a decrease in year over year active inventory, this month showed much improvement for closed sales and new listings, increasing 17.1 percent and 13.0 percent, respectively. However, while months supply of inventory increased slightly from last month to 0.9, this is still very low and a sign of an extremely tight market,” said Shelley Specchio, MIBOR CEO. She continues, “The data in closed sales alone proves that even in the tightest of markets, REALTORS® continue to work hard for their clients.”
