In Memoriam of Molly Hahn

In Memoriam of Molly Hahn

Published Thursday, November 5, 2020

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our friend and colleague, Molly Hahn. Molly was a member of the MIBOR family as the REALTOR® Foundation manager from 2006 to 2012. But, we all know, once a member of the MIBOR family, always a member of the MIBOR family.

Molly Hahn was a true servant leader, with a giving heart and enough energy and positivity to fill a room. Molly helped guide The REALTOR® Foundation through some of the toughest years in our industry’s history and showcased the great generosity of our membership, who continued to go above and beyond with their charitable gifts even during The Great Recession.

Molly served at the helm of the Foundation in 2008 when the $100,000 target was surpassed for the first time.

Molly also oversaw efforts to raise half a million dollars for the 2012 Building a Living Legacy project in commemoration of MIBOR’s Centennial and Super Bowl XLVI. Funds were used to fuel a significant portion of the 2012 Super Bowl Legacy project and the rehab of 30 vacant/abandoned homes and two new builds as part of a revitalization effort on the near-eastside of Indianapolis. The 32 home renovations funded by The Foundation served families or individuals who were homeless, along with wrap around services provided by the John H. Boner Community Center.

According to Noah Hahn, "Molly passed away peacefully today (November 5, 2020) surrounded by family, warmth, and infinite love. Unfortunately, the aggressiveness of her glioblastoma proved to be too much to overcome in this world."

MIBOR shares its deepest regrets to Molly’s family and friends. A visitation will be held at the Ruck Funeral Home at 1050 York Road in Towson, MD the evening prior to a Catholic funeral mass the following morning to be held at Immaculate Conception Church at 200 Ware Avenue in Towson, MD. Please check the funeral home website for the exact time, www.ruckfuneral.com/calendar.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the University of Notre Dame to support brain cancer research.  Gifts may be made online at giving.nd.edu, by phone at (574) 631-5150, or by mail: University of Notre Dame, Department of Development, 1100 Grace Hall, Notre Dame, IN 46556.  Please make checks payable to the University of Notre Dame. In all cases, please indicate that you would like to direct your gift to the Molly Hahn and Rebecca Pflueger Memorial Fund.
