Non-Deductible Portion of Dues Paid in 2021 (For Taxes Due in 2022)
When doing your taxes this year, don’t forget the non-deductible portion of dues. IRS compliance requires that the portion of dues attributable to lobbying and political activities be considered nondeductible for income tax purposes. The following amounts represent the non-deductible portion of REALTOR® dues.
National Association of REALTORS® 38% of $150 = $57.00
Indiana Association of REALTORS® 13% of $254 = $33.02
MIBOR REALTOR® Association 2% of $280 = $5.60
Total non-deductible dues $95.62
Note: Dues billing also includes a $35 NAR Public Awareness Campaign special assessment that qualifies as fully deductible.
Note: Additional voluntary RPAC contributions that may have been made are not tax deductible.
