MIBOR BLC® clear cooperation policy
The intent of the new Clear Cooperation Policy is to solidify the primary purpose of a listing service, which is to foster cooperation among brokers. In November 2019, the National Association of REALTORS created the policy and MIBOR will implement it in April. This new Policy only impacts those listings where the seller has required that the listing broker withhold the property from the BLC. Below you will find information to help illustrate the new policy requirements.

What Counts as public marketing?
If the public knows about the listing, the professionals within the cooperative should know about that listing. The new policy specifically defines public marketing. Remember, this includes any marketing done by the seller or agent. For example, if an office exclusive property is shared on social media (Facebook, Instagram, etc.) by the seller or agent, the listing must be submitted as active within one business day of that marketing.
