9 Tips for Achieving Maximum Coziness

As we near March, the stretch to spring can seem to last FOREVER! Many of us are using this time to hibernate until we can enjoy the warmer (and busier) months. After all, there is joy to be found in the quieter months of the year. Here are a few ways you can make an intentionally delightful day out of drab weather.  

1. Set the mood 

Candles are a key ingredient here with their scent, soft lighting and warmth.  

2. Bake something  

This doesn’t just mean eating the baked goods, this starts with the buying of ingredients, mixing them with care and the delicious smells that fill the house.  

3. Add texture

Plush throws, sheepskins and cushions make for a much more inviting space. Cover your surfaces in as many luxurious fabrics and pillows as you can find and snuggle down! 4.

4. Invite people over 

Just because the weather is bad doesn’t mean you need to hide from your friends! Bonus: Ask them to bring a bottle of their favorite seasonal beverage! 

5. Ge out the board games  

Drab weather is the time to get out those board games that have been gathering dust all summer long.  

6. Perfect your hot drink game 

Hot cocoa, hot toddies, apple ciders, mulled wine – pick your poison!  

7. Embrace sweater weather  

Soon enough you will be longing for those comfy sweaters!  

8. Curate your cold-outside playlist 

Make yourself a mix of music that inspires you to do all those things that make you feel endeared to your space.  

9. Do seasonal activities 

Carmel apples, working on your New Year’s resolution, Canning, puddle jumping, snowball throwing – so many fun things to do that come with the change in weather!
