Frequently Asked Questions:

  • Why was MPRO created?
The MIBOR Master Professional Certification Program (MPRO) was created in response to MIBOR member feedback. Members attributed professionalism concerns to a lack of knowledge, issues with communication and/or responsiveness, and attitude/cooperation issues. Based on this feedback, MPRO was specifically designed to increase our members’ level of knowledge and professionalism and tailored to meet the needs of our local marketplace. It is our hope that this program will create a wealth of highly skilled REALTORS® who are dedicated to being a top professional every step of the way.
  • What is the difference between C2EX and MPRO?
The Commitment to Excellence (C2EX) Program is an online program created by the National Association of REALTORS®. This broad, national program is designed to address professionalism by providing tools and resources to increase knowledge and enhance skillsets.

The MIBOR Master Professional Certification (MPRO) Program is a hybrid (in-person and online) program, tailored to the specific needs of MIBOR members and our local marketplace. MPRO takes a hands-on approach, with a focus on empowering our members in a number of different areas, including best practices, involvement in local government and economic issues, and successful conflict resolution.

  • What is MPRO+?
In recognition of the value of the C2EX Program, MIBOR members who complete all requirements of the MPRO program and also earn the C2EX Endorsement will receive MPRO+ certification. MPRO+ certification demonstrates that a REALTOR® is dedicated to their own professionalism as well as the professionalism of their industry.

  • Is MPRO only for newer REALTORS®, or can any REALTOR® register for the program?
MPRO Certification is available to any MIBOR REALTOR® member in active status. The knowledge and skills gained through participation in the MPRO program are valuable to all REALTORS® at any stage of their career.
  • Is there a cost for this program?
Yes, there is a $250 registration fee, which covers the cost of CE courses, materials, expert speakers, lapel pin, and certificate. Additionally, there is a $50 reinstatement fee if the certification is not completed within 24 months of registration in the MPRO program. There is no additional cost for MPRO+ certification.

"Paying for this designation has been one of the very best ways I invested/diversified my earned dollars!" — Shelia Wright, Ledford Wright Real Estate Group

I highly recommend agents to take this bootcamp and work towards being MPRO certified. The bootcamp truly puts into [perspective] that being a REALTOR® is not just about the transaction but what is encompasses. Being a REALTOR® is being involved in the development of our community and taking steps to help and move our community into more equitable spaces whether that's through RPAC, DEI, Economic Development and more. There are so many facets to our industry and how we can help shape the future of homeownership and this bootcamp did that for me.” — Adam Westfall, eXp Realty

This is a great program that provides a fantastic foundation for what every real estate agent should know in being a professional real estate agent.” — Steve Rupp, Keller Williams Indy Metro North

The classes were great for brushing up on parts of our training that we tend to overlook or don't deal with on a frequent basis. Hearing best practices and real examples from peer agents was also a great opportunity during our training.” — Casey Hockersmith, F.C. Tucker West Central REALTORS
