Our Team

Marlisha Edmond joined MIBOR in April 2026 as the Professional Development Program Manager. She leads the strategy, design, and delivery of professional development and leadership programs and works with subject-matter experts to develop curriculum aligned with industry needs. She also serves as the staff liaison for the MIBOR Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee, supporting efforts to expand diversity within the real estate profession and promote more inclusive practices across membership.

Prior to joining MIBOR, Marlisha worked in higher education, leading diversity and inclusion initiatives and supporting international student belonging and cultural transition. She holds a doctorate in English from Michigan State University, with a focus on Black women’s literacy practices and healing, which informs her approach to equity-centered education.

In her free time, Marlisha enjoys reading, staying active, and trying new restaurants with family. She values working alongside colleagues with a range of expertise and is focused on creating learning experiences that support members in their leadership growth.
